Happy Pride!

It's Vancouver's turn to celebrate Pride this weekend. I'm very proud that the Vancouver Rubbermen will be able to represent and march in this year's parade, and I'm proud of the guys that have committed to marching with me and the group. Enjoy the weekend; I'm off to Shadow Falls again next week so I may be out of range...I'm so looking forward to relaxing and healing. Remember the Rubbermen will be at Pumpjack on Saturday August 6th at 2pm!

Current Status

So this happened on the commute home from work on the Central Valley Greenway...a stealthy blue Jeep Liberty jumped out of nowhere in front of me at Lakewood and North Grandview. Apparently I took a good chunk out of the front quarter panel and door, flew over, and struck ground. I don't remember anything until EMS were in my face, but there are pics of me sitting up with the help of other cyclists, the driver, and witnesses. One dude even took pics and sent them to me, I don't remember any of it. I still need to find out what actually happened. Apparently I was out of it, EMS neck braced me and I got a cool ride to VGH.

Got all my spandex cycling gear cut off.....despite all the loss, the VPD, EMS and staff at VGH ER were been awesome. Obviously they were concerned about head injury and spinal injury....so far I don't think there's any big damage like that. I was held 12 hours due to bruised lung that they want to xray 6 hours later due to concern of a collapsed lung. I was released 6am on Friday. Mr. P was with me until I sent him home, then he was back at 4:30am to come fetch me.

Broken elbow, bruised ribs on entire LHS of body, broken tooth, lots of cuts and lacerations, but I'm sooo lucky considering I wasn't going slow when I hit the vehicle. I'm all jolted and sore but thankful it wasn't worse! My big meat carcass almost took out a Jeep! Apparently the bike is okay and my helmet didn't smush so I guess my body took the brunt. I'm all bandaged now, maybe some cool scars but counting my lucky stars!

Now, Day five: Ribs and back are the hurting the most, x-ray on elbow tomorrow...hopefully I won't have to keep arm slinged anymore though forearm has very limited mobility currently. Cuts are scabbing now and I'm not wearing bandages on anything anymore. Things are slowly but gradually healing. I was also fortunate the broken tooth was a wisdom tooth and there isn't a whole lot of sensitivity on the exposed part, however my dentist has suggested extraction anyways.

Everything is being processed by ICBC and it's possible I might have to involve a lawyer, etc.

My work laptop was destroyed in the crash, I'm at the office today building a new image on a new machine. Since I'm tiring so quickly this week, I doubt I'm going to be working any full days this week, and since I'm on vacation next week, this is going to be giving me some needed time to heal.

I'm sooo lucky, despite it all, it could've easily gone so much worse.

Update: Day 6: Ribs are still sore as hell but definitely a bit better each day. I went to Orthotics Specialist today who said I could stop wearing the arm sling and start stretching and exercising my right arm. What a relief. Bad news: lots of damage to my bike. The shop says it will almost be simpler to buy a new one rather than replace all the parts that need replacement on my current one. Fuck. It's looking more and more like I'm going to need a lawyer. Luckily I have some friends who have been able to recommend some that specialize in cyclists and dealing with ICBC. I have bruises bubbling up in interesting places. Here's hoping I'm in decent enough shape to enjoy some Pride events this weekend!

K55 is flying in for this, I have weekend passes for us. He wants to stay in rubber all weekend....I am very happy to oblige that! It's going to be SO MUCH FUN!

Next week is Pride Week here in Vancouver; the bars should be getting busier, more events are happening (many kickoff parties, obviously) and more people should be out and about. I have been asked to host a "Battle of the Bulge" contest on Tuesday and Wednesday night at Pumpjack, and of course I have to start getting the rubber crew prepped for marching in the Pride Parade on Sunday July 31. I will be sending out info and directives to those who have signed up today or tomorrow and I will have to start working on getting the banners prepped for the parade.

The Vancouver International Festival of Light Fireworks competition starts this Saturday and goes next Wednesday and Pride Saturday as well.

I already have some of the posters for Vancouver Rubbermen Pride edition meet and play on August 6 already out; I will be putting some up around the Village and in Pumpjack this week as well.

The week after Pride until August 6 I am taking another week off to chill up at Shadow Falls. Wardog and S, a friend of his are potentially coming with me....should make for a very interesting week! I'll put them to work during the day and work them over during the night!

Points Race

Speaking of skinsuits, I'm watching a bit of the Track Worlds from earlier this year. I've always loved this event. Even though I won most of my accolades in the Individual Pursuit event over the years, the Points Race was always my favorite race to compete in. I always wondered why the broadcasters never streamed more of the pack races - Points and Scratch races events from the Olympics etc - to a global audience....in my opinion these are always the best events to watch as well.

Racing Suit

Latex'd has a new cycling skinsuit named "Performance Pro" in their arsenal of skintight shininess. I really like the style! It would be great to wear to a sportsgear night out and photoshoots - unfortunately a latex skinsuit is not the most functional to actually wear for cycling! Maybe a late-night ride to a fellow rubbermen's place for some play....?!

Up at the Falls

We're just heading home from another weekend of RVing. We had lots of fun and the weather was better than anticipated.

Last night Almazmol and M and I did a great fisting scene in full football gear. Sufficed to say there are no pics but we got two hours of high-quality video that I'm going to be looking forward to editing and publishing in the near future. Stay tuned!

The sling fit into the gayzebo no problemo. I left it up there for possible usage next weekend but I will probably bring it back into Vancouver for VFW.

Almazmol and I went out hiking this afternoon in our UA jockstraps. We did a bit of assplay up by the dam but had to cut it short.

Three Nights in the Playroom

I finally got some decent sleep last night after three nights in Tuchus and Wardog's playroom. I told you about Tuesday's awesome session....Wednesday night was brief but I still managed to fuck Wardog's sweet ass for awhile; I did this again last night right after work, then Wardog worked on my ass for an hour or so in the sling, then he hopped in the sling where I fucked him then we moved to the floor where I fucked him again. He then jumped on my fist for a long time, and we tried some big toys in him before we worked in the biggest toy we've had in him to date! One of those monster bullets - I haven't even had that big thing in me.

It was a huge turn-on...the boy's ass is getting hungrier and bigger, noticeably so in the past couple months. It was a lot of fun, I set a hard-stop time of 10pm so I could get home and do some packing for Shadow Falls and watch Jim Jefferies new comedy special.

Got the van packed up this morning; Mr P and another friend are heading up there this morning, I'm catching a ride with M after work. Almazmol is heading up tomorrow morning with the football gear, which he is intent on putting on M and I and chariot riding us tomorrow night in gear. I think we'll need to sequester (as usual) a competent photographer to get some great shots of the action!
