Vancouver Rubbermen Logo Unveiling

This afternoon at the Rubbout 25 Gear Swap/ Vancouver Rubbermen (VRM) demo session / Van-PAH Pup Mosh (aka Rubbout 25 Market), the Vancouver Rubbermen are officially unveiling the new VRM logo and banner to great fanfare (HA!). Designed by Sly Hands, who also did the official Chicago, London, and Manchester banners (and emulated by some others), the logo represents parts of the City of Vancouver flag, including the blue waves representing the Fraser River and the Pacific Ocean surrounding the city, the green represents the great Pacific forests that covered the area prior to development and the mural crown, which is an aspect of the Vancouver flag, representing city walls or towers and used as a symbolic crown in Roman and heraldic times.  The gas mask, as is represented in all the other rubbermen logos, is distinctively a modified Canadian C4 model. The tire and font is representative of what you'd find on a standard tire.

Enjoy! You will be seeing a lot more of this logo in the near future!
