I'm very happy to say I heard back, loud and clear, that there are lots of you horny sexy rubbermen out there! It changed my life.
All of us chanting, "We're here, we're hot and we're horny!".
It's been a great ride; thank you to all of you that have taken the time to drop by: to beat off to pics, to read my rants, to check out my latest rubbersexual conquests, to comment on the things that you are motivated to comment on, and to provide feedback and suggestions.
Throughout the entire decade I've tried to stick to my original mission statement - that I didn't want to commercialize this blog; it was never about the money, it's always been about the need to write down my thoughts, describe my adventures, capture the world in pics, and talk about the things that turn me on and make me tick. I can certainly say, looking back on the beginnings and what moved me to start the blog in the first place, that I have certainly evolved. I was once a closeted rubber pervert in a monogamous vanilla relationship, feeling trapped, frustrated, and alone. Ten years later, I'm an out and proud, confident, unabashedly social, promotional, and sexual community organizer and rubber perverter/influencer/converter.
People all over the world know who I am, I run into these guys all the time that read my blog and have taken something from it to apply to their own evolution (at least I hope it's in a positive way!)
I think the reason so many guys trying to figure out their sexual fetishes and sexual identities found the format of this blog appealing was that I have always wanted this to be a journal of sorts. Given the gaps in memory I have, I am so happy I did do it this way. Granted, the format is very (sorta?) public, a few years ago I had peaked at around 450 unique viewers hitting the blog everyday; now it's down to around 300, and that is perfectly fine with me. I never wanted attention or spotlight, I always just wanted communication, sharing of ideas....and maybe a bit of ego stroking! haha
I had made the effort quite a few years ago to find some similarity in how all of us rubbermen evolved to the place we're at, and found that despite us all being on different points on the spectrum, most of us do come from similar beginnings. This has been a fascinating driver of my fetish ever since. To know that we all share some similarities in our origin stories and have materials and situations and fantasies that drive our sexual lives has been a huge motivator for me. I've always been a gearhead - since as early as I can remember, and I long ago decided there wasn't any reason to be ashamed of it or any reason to hide it. Thus you see the Rubber Canuck that stands before you today: shiny, sweating, seething and loving every minute of it.
Thank you, you fucking perverts. Thank you for everything.
