Yay! How poignant that the UPS guy shows up with my Invincible order on the 24th of December! I am already in the surfsuit and chaps...nothing like the smell of fresh new rubber permeating the air to get a guy in the holiday spirit.
In less spirited news, yes, as some of you may have heard, Mr. P is very ill. He was diagnosed with an angiosarcomic tumour on his leg at the beginning of the month and it is moving very aggressively. The doctors plan to amputate the leg on January 9 to try and stop the spread of the cancer and give Mr. P the best chance at survival. It has been a very stressful and emotional month, but we are trying to stay positive and move forward through the fear. So yeah, the holiday season could be a little more merry, but I am glad I have some time to spend with my husband before the tsunami of surgery and therapy to come. Please send healing thoughts and positive vibes to my man; I am hoping for the best outcomes.
