Mr. New England Rubber
On top of all the excitement brewing in this corner of the continent, this weekend is the Mr. New England Rubber contest in Boston. Good luck to the contestants, have fun guys!
More Rubbout in the Media
Here we are in the Priape Newsletter!
I'm very busy today finishing the layout with Michael for the weekend program, and the sponsorship banner layout is now done. Everything's heading to the printers tomorrow. I'm spending the latter part of today postering on Commercial Drive, Davie and Denman. If you see me stop and say hi!
Tomorrow is decorating Pumpjack for the Gear Swap and Recon Party on Saturday. Crap, I can't believe it's all here already!

Mutants
I found these to be pretty neat....always with stretchy latex sheet transformation...heh heh
The STRP mutants were designed by Bart Hess together with Heyheyhey for the 2011 STRP Art & Technology Festival campaign. The mutants evolved around the idea of transformation. They visualize movement and the ever changing boundaries between the different disciplines: art, music and technology.
STRP Festival is one of the largest indoor art & technology festivals in Europe, that fuses music art and technology. The multidisicplinary program is a mix of a 360- degree experience with adventure which appeal to a wide audience. At STRP there are projects of young game designers next to major works from the international art circuit and experimental live cinema next to succesfol pop artists and DJs. At STRP you find interactive art, light art, robotics, concerts, DJs, theatrical and dance performances, experimental music, interviews, discussion, live cinema, films, lectures, video art, animation and workshops.

Honour
I have lots, but obviously not enough.
Bought these today from Honour of London. I've always wanted something with suspenders, now I can wear rubber bottoms with any type of top that I want...which I think is pretty cool.
Is it wrong to aim to look somewhat like the model again someday? I couldn't resist! LOL
They are supposed to be here before Rubbout though I doubt I will have a chance to wear them then.
The Rubbout and Recon party ads came out in Xtra! West today! Very exciting. I will post them up here when the pdf comes out online.

Microbreathe
My shipment from Kink Engineering should be here next week with all the Rubbout goodies in addition to a microbreathe hood and a pair of Mobius gloves. I think I've posted this before, but FoxZatt looks great showing off the hood and his nice shiny tight suits!
Full Rubber Suit
Cornholio's latest. He's rocking the suit! Only opening is the nose breathing holes! Well, until he opens his crotch zipper...

New Looks for Spring
Well, it's been an interesting week so far. As you know, last week I was travelling from Palm Springs to Texas to spend a week with mom and dad. I think the partying in Palm Springs got the best of me as I fell ill on Tuesday and it got progressively worse into the weekend. I guess of all places to be, being with mom and dad while sick can't be beat, though they were concerned and of course there's nothing worse than being deathly sick during vacation.
I was feeling better on Sunday travel day, however I was dreading coming back to work, knowing that I was still sick, not rested, and just going back into the same bullshit that I left. I got to work on Monday morning and saw a meeting scheduled with my career manager. We talked at noon and he said that I'd been offered a termination package from the company. This is something that I'd been secretly wishing for for a long time as I was no longer feeling a part of the organization anymore and many among me felt we were just being squeezed out in order to hire more cheaper resources in Asia. So I guess this situation has ended up about as well as it could, though now comes the daunting task of trying to figure out what I want to do next. It would be a great opportunity to get out of IT altogether and do something different, though I think reasonably retraining and upgrading my skills to work with some of the newer more relevant technologies is probably what's going to happen.
At any rate, with all of this going on and three weeks to go to Rubbout, things are a bit harried and stressful. Luckily I have my rubber to calm me down somewhat. My new order from Invincible arrived the day I left for Palm Springs so I went and picked that up on Monday. I like the new track jacket, it is nicely designed and looks great (*sweat sweat sweat*) and the transparent socks and gloves go good with the rest of my transparent stuff. Unfortunately the new metallic peacock Libidex catsuit went splitsville at the ass (again!) on Tuesday, so I've been negotiating a replacement with Libidex the past couple of days. I ordered a replacement in black that will be here in time for Rubbout and a bunch of scrap metallic peacock in the hopes that I can salvage the suit somehow. I only had it a couple of months, it hardly seems fair but alas this is the danger of the passion.
Here are some pics of the new pieces:
