RIP
Andy Cook. You were a wonderful friend and mentor. You always saw the
good in everything and everyone, and despite your frustrating
stubbornness, you were an inspiration to me and many others. You always
fought for what you believed in with everything you had, something I really respected in you.
You'll be greatly missed, brother. My sincerest condolences go out to Tony, Andy's family and all of his close friends.
You'll be greatly missed, brother. My sincerest condolences go out to Tony, Andy's family and all of his close friends.
Andy Cook, active supporter and organizer of many Vancouver kink and fetish communities including Rubbout and Vancouver Rubbermen, lost his long battle with cancer last night. We share our deepest condolences with Tony, his partner, his loving family and his many many close friends and chosen family. You will be missed, brother. Rest in Peace.
For those of you familiar with the Vancouver gay kink community, Andy was producer of Rubbout 26 and 27, involved in many many Rubbouts before that, executive member of Vancouver Men in Leather and Van-PAH, also an alpha of the LuvPack and a member of the Bonevista. A life-long Vancouverite, he owned a bar in the Davie Village and was involved in other opportunities with the 8x6 location and such productions as the Vatican Parties.
Message from Rob Pont (coproducer of Rubbout 21-25 with me):
It is with great sadness that I am announcing the death of Andy Cook on September 5, 9:30PM, 2018 at Vancouver General Hospital.
He was overcome suddenly by complications due to cancer. His partner Tony Schoeppe was by his side. More will be posted about a celebration of life when there has been time to gather thoughts and make arrangements.
Wishing the Cook family and all his friends Peace and love at this grievous time.
Andy would want his life to be celebrated and his friends and loved ones to party on. Andy will be missed by many.
