My buddy Slickthrobnhole and his partner got together with Tuchus and Cumpigcub for some playtime last Saturday night. It looks like things ended up being pretty productive! :-)

Mr. P and I joined the guys along with Wardog on Tuesday night for some fun of our own. They had a visitor from Victoria staying for a couple of days that was being put through some strenuous action and we were asked to come and participate in the depravity. We had a lot of fun with the guys, I wish it hadn't been a school night as we could've stayed longer. As it turned out Wardog attacked my butthole again...and I didn't complain. Good times!

I'm hoping for some more action with the boys from Seattle this weekend, possibly a play party at the condo after the contest is done on Saturday night? We'll see...

Speaking of holes, James from Hypershine was just over to try another fitting of my new suit. It is SO close to being done; a bit of adjustment to the neck, the length of the feet and a bit of reduction on a small length of the thighs on each side. It was a good attempt to have the suit ready for this weekend, but I'd rather it be done (along with the six or seven suits they now have for repairs) all at once. Hopefully in another month or so my wardrobe will be back to full complement. In the meantime I think I have enough outfits to wear this weekend for judging. Pics to come....

It's Latex, Dammit!

How many times have you been out in your latex-y finest in public, only having to correct some curious individual in the uninitiated masses who comes up to you and says, "I love your PVC", or, even after having a chance to FEEL the material, say, "Wow, this leather is amazing!"

*sigh* It happens a lot, unfortunately.

I know for most laypeople, the distinctions hardly matter, as they're more often than not simply blown away by the fact you're wearing something unusual in a public forum, but that never stops me from correcting them, more from an desire to educate more than any other reason.

Usually I'm pretty calm in these situations, however, the latest celebrity situation of this is driving me a little crazy.

Sinead O'Connor's latest album is called I'm Not Bossy, I'm the Boss. I love the provocative album cover, HOWEVER, a vast majority of news outlets incorrectly state that she's wearing leather, when in fact she's wearing Westward Bound latex!

Though I know the bar is set pretty low for factual correctness in today's mainstream media.....c'mon people! It doesn't even resemble leather!!!!

I know, once again, that this detail is lost on the unwashed masses, but being the perfectionist, the latex promoter and rubber purist that I am, this kind of stuff drives me nuts! ;-)

New Skin-like Condom Could Actually Increase Your Pleasure
An exciting new material could have naysayers rethinking condom usage.

One of the biggest obstacles to consistent condom usage has been a decrease in sensitivity and pleasure for the user. Thanks to a grant challenge from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, those complaints might soon be a thing of the past.

Researchers at the University of Wollongong in Australia recently announced they have won a challenge to continue their creation of a condom that protects against infections such as HIV and feels natural doing it. The key to their enthusiasm is hydrogels, a material typically used in contact lenses and which has the pliable, soft feel of human tissue. For those who object to the constrictions of latex, hydrogel can comfortably expand to more than 100 times its initial size.

So much of the HIV prevention debate rests on the discomfort, impracticality, and loss of sensation of condoms, and many people have decided they simply aren't worth the loss of intimacy or sensual enjoyment. University researchers hope that breakthroughs like hydrogels will make them reconsider.

“It’s really about us challenging our own perceptions, particularly when developing new technologies to be deployed in places like sub-Saharan Africa and southeast Asia," a University spokesperson said as part of their grant announcement. "We are looking to have dialog with people in those areas to look at social and cultural aspects for design that could be incorporated into eventual prototypes and products.

The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation is one the most recognized philanthropic organizations operating in the world today. The award was funded under the Round 12 Grand Challenges Explorations grants, which foster innovation in global health research.

This weekend brings the Northwest Puppy Contest Weekend to Vancouver! I'm excited to see all my friends from Seattle, Portland and other places that will be in town for the events going on throughout the weekend. Tomorrow night is the Puppy Greet N' Sniff, Saturday afternoon is a Pup Mosh, the contest is Saturday night and a Victory followup will be held during the Pumpjack Beer Bust on Sunday afternoon. In addition, since I've been asked to be a judge this weekend, we also have candidate interviews starting late Saturday morning, and I anticipate some play with some fuck-buddies on Saturday night...hopefully.

Despite being swamped with wrecked rubber, I still anticipate having three or four great outfits to wear this weekend. Of special importance is the news from Hypershine that my new suit is almost ready! Final fitting Friday afternoon after work; if everything fits in the right places, it might make its debut on Friday evening. I'm not sure if semi-transparent electric blue is more appropriate for the Friday night social event, or Saturday night judging (or neither!), but if I get the opportunity I'm certainly going to wear it out this weekend....most likely on Friday evening.
